Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations within the construction company.
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Project Accounting:
- Work closely with project managers to monitor project budgets and expenses.
- Track and analyze project costs to ensure profitability.
- Generate financial reports specific to construction projects.
- Cost Control:
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures.
- Analyze variances between actual costs and budgeted amounts.
- Provide insights to management on cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and submit financial statements and reports as required.
- Collaborate with auditors during the audit process.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor industry trends and assess their impact on financial performance.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management and procurement.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the construction industry in Dubai.
- In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Dubai’s construction regulations and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
